Welcome to the Kingston Volunteer Fire Company (KVFC), Rhode Island: 'the defenders of the hill'

Serving the Kingston Fire District, which incorporates the University of Rhode Island ( URI ) and surrounding areas, the fire department comprises three companies:

• Engine Company
• Ladder Company
• Rescue Company

The KVFC provides the fire district with a superb level of emergency cover which is achieved via a unique volunteer residency program. The fire station can accommodate up to 10 volunteer fire fighters.

With an emphasis on training, firefighters from the KVFC are now serving as firefighters worldwide.
